The Current

Listen Closer

There's a pond here. It seems small. Quiet. Local. But the water doesn't stay here. It moves. It flows. It connects to something much larger.

Music works the same way.

A single voice, a melody, a rhythm, a story — each begins somewhere specific, yet somehow speaks to all of us. Every season, artists from across the globe bring their traditions and creativity to Cold Spring Harbor, creating moments of discovery, connection, and shared humanity.

From Zimbabwe to Poland. From Norway to Brazil. From Australia to New York.

Different voices. Different cultures. Different stories.
All part of the same current.

The Venue

A Place Worth Listening In

Built nearly two centuries ago and filled with stunning Tiffany stained glass, St. John's Episcopal Church combines architectural beauty, warm acoustics, and an intimate atmosphere that brings artists and audiences closer together.

Just beyond the sanctuary windows sits St. John's Pond — the inspiration for the series itself, and a reminder that even the smallest places can connect us to something much larger.
